A Change of Weather
Whoever came up with the term “global Warming” has never spent much time at a car wash in the month of February! Nevertheless, spring is almost here and we are all excited about the new change of seasons. It has been the longest, coldest winter in recent memory, and I hope that all of you survived it with minimal damage to your car wash.
ICA - 2009 Car Care World Expo
The 2009 Car Care World Expo will be held in Las Vegas from April 2nd through April 4th. Charlie and I will be attending and hope to see you there. Magic Wand will be exhibiting their new E Series automatic like the one we have here in Clarkesville, and they will also have other automatics on display such as the Truck Express, the Vortex and the latest release of the Magic Spray 2000.
Do you have the Carwash Woes?
I know that 2008 was a tough year for a lot of you. High fuel prices were a negative factor for us for the first part of the year, and then we were hit by a string of rainy weekends. Every Saturday in December was wet as well as many in the months of November and January. So, we can blame our depression on the recession if we want, but the car wash industry in Georgia has had other issues that I believe had more impact than our national economic problems. With that said, we at Carwash Specialists continue to prosper and have performed many upgrades to car washes during the last few months. We have even installed one new Vortex automatic in 2009.
There's Hope - Pollen Season is on the Way!
I hope that pollen season 2009 is a big, long, ugly one! My sinuses will suffer through it for you. We, as an industry, need a big boost to help everyone’s morale and accounts. Now is the time to make sure that your equipment is ready. Call us if you need help. Good washin’.
Thanks for your Business,
Mitch
